DAVID KERBER

C U R R E N T

All spring. All blossom. All song.

Two song recitals will mark May in David Kerber's calendar. Under the title "Self-Confession," the tenor will make his debut at the Schubertiade Wieden and open his "Alles Lied" festival in Breitenwang, Tyrol.

David Kerber will play Alfredo in La Traviata at the Vienna Opera Summer.

David Kerber makes his debut as Sandor Barinkay with the Johann Strauss Festival in the musical "The Song of the Edge of the World or "The Gypsy Baron"" based on the aforementioned operetta by Johann Strauss in an adaptation by Franui and Roland Schimmelpfennig.

P R E S S

"David Kerber in the leading role of Sándor Barinkay exudes clownish alienation; after initially quiet tones, the tenor's voice rises even against a dominating orchestra pit." - Salzburger Nachrichten 2025

"David Kerber sang a tattoo-covered Barinkay with a playful operetta voice." - Die Presse 2025

"Vocally convincing: David Kerber and Miriam Kurtrowatz" - Kurier 2025

"David Kerber lends Barinkay a tenorial impetuosity." - Der Standard 2025

"David Kerber clearly takes great pleasure in bringing a noble vocal line and exotic outfit into a meaningful relationship." - concerti.de

"David Kerber is a delight as Barinkay." - Krone 2025

"David Kerber, who gives Froh a youthful appearance and a quite assertive yet sensitive tenor contour, is a new addition." - Merker 2024, Stuttgart State Opera

"David Kerber, as Alfredo, (...) sings with perfect pitch, has a slender tone, good Italian, and solid high notes (the stretta with a secure C)." - Merker 2024, Vienna Volksoper

"David Kerber's healthy and well-projected voice also commands attention as Alfred." - concertnet.com 2023

"David Kerber as Alfred has a round and well-projected tone that further enhances the charm of his "Trinke, Liebchen" (Drink, Sweetheart)." - Forum Operá 2023

"David Kerber, with his clear, round tenor and his perfect feel for the kitschy role in the play, is a near-ideal Alfred." - Leidmotief 2023

"David Kerber delights with his robust tenor as the Helmsman. David Kerber as Daland's Helmsman impressed with his clarity. David Kerber (as the Helmsman) was robust and with a truly noble vocal tone." - Kurier, Die Presse, Der Standard 2023

"David Kerber was a revelation as Tamino. The role debut of the young Austrian, who exuded confidence beyond his years, was a triumph; his vast vocal range, impressive presence, and refined acting made him a bold choice. Surrounded by six veiled women, he completely commanded the stage and delivered his lines with verve. I look forward to seeing much more from this young talent." - bachtrack.com 2023
